Maple Brown Sugar Cookies with Maple Glaze
A cookie that tastes like fall.
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbs pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups flour
Glaze
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbs milk
- 3 tbs maple syrup

Preheat oven to 300

Blend together butter and shortening in a mixer. Add in 6 ingredients and blend well.

Add in egg yolks and vanilla.

Mix in flour.

Roll into 3 inch balls, place on a greased cookie sheet and press down with the bottom of a glass.

Bake at 300 for 12 minutes.

Whisk together glaze and drizzle over top.
