The finished product for our teapot bouquets turned out beautiful!
We started by using the teapots I bought from a second-hand store (about 25 cents a piece) and had spray painted white. I blogged about the process here.
My wonderful sister-in-law, Meghan, runs a floral design business out of her home–just a short ride across the gravel road from the Little House–and she was willing to help us create these beautiful center pieces for the girls’ party!
So, we started by filling the tea pots with floral foam soaked in water to make placing the flowers and greens much easier! You can get the foam from amazon here.
We used various flowers and greens to create this one of a kind whimsical look!
Meghan purchased the eucalyptus leaves from our Local Hy-Vee store on special order–it comes in a bunch which is about 10 stems.
We also got some GORGEOUS one-of-a-kind flowers from a local flower farm! You have to check her out on Instagram! Holland Flower Farm! We used her flowers as the focal points in all four bouquets!
For filler flowers, or not-so-beautiful center flowers, we purchased bouquets from Walmart (only $4.99!!!)
Lastly, all of the other greens we used were either cut from bushes in our landscaping or weeds from the ditches (yep, there is water hemp in there!!!) My hubby wasn’t so sure about that since he spends all summer trying to kill that weed and I put it on the tables for a birthday party! Ha!
Anywho, as Meghan always says, when it comes to creating beautiful flowers it is ALL ABOUT THE GREENS! They truly make the beautiful flowers POP!
You can see the finished products below! We were so happy with how they turned out and they made wonderful take home gifts for family that helped out at the party!!
